How y'all sexy bitches doin?
It's been a hectic two months for me. But before I ramble on about all that boring junk, I'VE GOT A NEW CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE READY FOR YOUR VIEWING HOLES. You should watch it, cause that would kind of totally make my day.
I didn't feel it appropriate to talk about the short in the "author's comments" section; it just felt a bit out of place to get all technical after the strangeness of the animation, so I'm gonna paste it it here.

Basically, this was an experiment on a few fronts for me. First, [YOUR NAME HERE], you may notice that I used Photoshop for the backgrounds, which was entirely new experience for me other than a few short lessons in the tools last November. I wouldn't know how well it turned out through the eyes of a seasoned digital artist, but, to myself, it looks pretty decent.
I also got to try out a lot of full-body poses, as opposed to the majority of my animations which have generally centered around people sitting at desks/tables. It ended up being quite a bit more work than expected, especially the little things, like arm movements. Layering became a wonderfully difficult process at points, as well. I think I ended up with a distinct style for all my efforts, though.
This is also my second short to feature no dialogue, just a sound design and a few grunts/laughs/whathaveyous (the other being this thing). It's the route I went with on my first animation; it was a bitch then, and, surprise surprise, it still is. It becomes difficult to convey the ideas that I want to when I can't come out with a piece of dialogue that fully summarizes the situation at hand. It's a nice little challenge, whether or not I failed it.
I'm a bit upset with my music choice. I feel it's very fitting, but I'm still pretty upset that I couldn't find anything matching in the portal (though perhaps that's more of a compliment to Newgrounds and its users than anything else). I went so far as to instrumentally cover the song myself, but it's just not the same without that guy's singing. I may decide to switch it out at some point, but we'll see. I'm open to suggestions.

So my time with Flash CS3 seems to have come to a close. Just burned out on me. Can't right click, can't click any of the menu bars, and I can't enter into any symbols. Luckily, I was able to get CS5.5 (the entire suite at that). It's no CS3, but hopefully I'll get used to it as time goes on.
I also got some work, which is awesome as all get-out. Had a few PA gigs and was commissioned to animate a commercial/promotional video, which means I'm still on track for my one decent animation per month goal for this year. Probably not something to upload here, but there are some portions I'm definitely thinking about cutting and pasting into future works, cause they're swanky as Hilary. If I can't find a spot for them, maybe I'll find a place to upload them under the creative commons, cause I'm sure someone could make use of some of these clips.
Is there even a place for animations to be uploaded under creative commons for others to use? I'm almost surprised newgrounds doesn't have something like that. Seems like it would be right up their alley.
Oh well, near-future plans: NATA. I'm looking forward to it and, more specifically, participating in it. Go donate to them. There's cool shit you'll get out of it. Guess I've got almost two weeks before it starts though, so I'll probably get going on a short piece that will likely not see the light of the internet until I get my ass kicked out of NATA.
Go watch my cartoon!
